Orange
the color of spring
The California Poppy Preserve in the high desert of the Antelope Valley is a hot, barren, forboding place. Most of the year you can drive for miles and see only a few bushes struggling to survive in the harsh desert environment. In the springtime however, the desert explodes into a sea of color. There are poppies as far as the eye can see, and the butterflys are so thick that they become a hazard to passing motorists.
